Building's frontage

The Upstairs Room

is now served with a new entrance area with lift and stairs and we now have a large storage area using the space created from removal of the old back stairs.

The Side Entrance

The new entrance vestibule is accessible by a specially designed ramp.  You enter the building through automatic doors and over your head is a large cross, a reminder of why the building is here, because we, God's family members, are here.  We are part of God's worldwide family.  We want to worship and serve Him both here and in our daily lives wherever we are.  We are pleased to offer our building for the use of our community.

The Front Porch

Is now enclosed and forms a welcoming entrance area to the church building and features a light, airy entrance lobby with automatically opening doors.

The Kitchen  The problem with the kitchen to some extent still exists but changes are in hand!

Solution 4 The Kitchen

The extension plans have solved this problem by extending the kitchen area shown above.  However whilst food can be assembled we cannot currently cook or prepare food from "scratch".  The newly built extension, plus the re-fitting (present fittings are life expired and really do need replacing)  will provide an additional facility to cater for present and anticipated use by the church family for social and fund raising events (for ourselves and others) e.g. church family meals, funeral catering, charity and musical events where food is served.  In addition the larger re-fitted kitchen also benefits all the other local community groups, for example Rainbows, Weight Watchers, birthday parties for example who use this kitchen area when they hold their own activities.  We will also need an enhanced Public Health Licence.

Picture of the new kitchen area (still awaiting fitting of units to utilise the new space to the best advantage) will soon be available to view on this page

The Vestry

The 'vestry' is now one of a number of new multi-purpose rooms created in both sections (old and new) of the church building.  Pictures of these rooms are shown below as is the new entrance vestibule (with new lift) to the first floor:
Multi Use Room 1
Multi Use Room 2
Multi Use Room 3With bare, empty 'Easter' Cross ready for decorating with flowers as symbols of the new life available for all people when you come to know Jesus as a personal friend.
Entrance vestibuleThe lift is on the right hand side of this area and is suitable for all users.
We also have an additional toilet which is fully accessible to all people.
