Copmanthorpe Methodist Church building is a fantastic resource for the local community. From this page you can use the links on the left to explore our church building and some of the additional rooms in the church, perhaps with making a booking in mind.
Our building is located on Main Street in Copmanthorpe and is listed on Google maps

This summer the Holiday Club which is run in conjunction with other churches and Christians in Copmanthorpe is Codebreakers which is an adventure set in Ancient Egypt.

Flower Festival icon To celebrate the worship of God on this site for many years and also the completion of our building extension a flower festival was held in June 2011.  If you missed the superb  displays follow this link to the Flower Festival pages.

Open Gardens bannerWe are coming towards the end of improving the church building for our and our local community's benefit.
As part of our fund raising we organised an Open Gardens event.  We have a dedicated
Open Gardens event section on this web site.  Follow this link to our Open Gardens section.

Murder MysteryWe have also organised our third Murder Mystery evening (2 performances) at the WI Hall in the village.  Follow this link to our special events page.  During the evening, where you sit together at tables, you get a chance to solve a murder; presented to you as a drama; recall known facts to solve the quiz, eat scrumptious home -made puddings and enjoy a range of soft or alcoholic drinks.  Each year it has been a popular village event with tickets for the 2 nights selling faster and faster.  Make your booking as an individual, a family, a group of friends or make up a complete table.  The choice is yours. The request for another 2 evenings (minimum) has already been made for 2012!

We also have a regular Fair Trade Stall after some Sunday morning worship services in the church building.  There is a wide range of Fair Trade goods available to buy and you are welcome to pop in and make your purchase.  Why not stay for a cup of fair trade tea or coffee at the same time?  Stall opens about 11:30 and will be open for business on the following date: Sunday September 04.
